Brittany believes that growth in life happens when we make ourselves uncomfortable. As a kid, she feared deep water, couldn’t swim without plugging her nose, & hated going fast downhill. So, naturally, she left D1 tennis in college to pursue the perfect sport for her, elite triathlon. It seemed like a good match.

After she didn’t die (though that’s what she thought would happen), she jumped into her literal fear pool with both feet & hasn’t looked back.

Growing up as a multi-sport athlete training at academies, camps, olympic training centers, traveling alone around the world, pursuing an engineering degree, & trying to be a good sister & daughter has given Britt tremendous insight about maintaining balance in life & what coaching styles do & do not work.

Now, she guides her clients & athletes towards becoming the best versions of themselves by helping them overcome their fears & create work-life balance, all while achieving their goals.

Welcome Coach @sam_aswegan to the Pallas team! Sam Welcome Coach @sam_aswegan to the Pallas team! Sam will primarily be working with strength-focused and team-sport Pallas athletes. Read about Sam’s background and experience below.

Sam Aswegan grew up in the great Pacific Northwest, 90 miles north of Seattle, WA. Following an "aggressively average" career as a collegiate football player, he jumped into coaching at the DI level and has held multiple roles with six universities in five states, most of that time spent as a sports performance coach. While the majority of his time has been spent working field sports (primarily football), he has also worked with teams and athletes competing on the court, track, ice, and air. 

Like many collegiate coaches, Sam was forced to explore new opportunities after the coronavirus effectively shut down collegiate athletics. Following a much needed hiatus, he took a position as a research assistant in the Neuromuscular Research Lab at the University of Pittsburgh, serving as the training lead for the SPARTA Initiative (Soldier Performance and Readiness as Tactical Athletes). Following nearly a year in that role, he again relocated to Washington State, where he is currently a tactical strength and conditioning specialist with the United States Army.

What you need to know:
* This program is for all skill levels pursuing a marathon at any time throughout 2023.
* You can train on YOUR timeline for your marathon! Enrollment is ongoing. All you need to do is register & join the group based on the timeline you need for your race.
 
What you receive:
* 12, 16, or 20 week periodized marathon programming based on your skill level, delivered in Training Peaks.
* Integrated strength training delivered in Train Heroic that supports your running goals. No need to guess what to do or when to do it!
* Weekly group zoom check-ins with Jen & your fellow runners to go over your training week.
* Themed discussions & Q&A’s during group check-ins, including:
 * Balancing marathon training with work & family life
